How to Select the Right Lenses for Kids Glasses

We have three main categories for our lenses: clear prescription lenses, sun/light adjusting lenses, and frames only (non-prescription). Knowing which option to choose for your kid's glasses within these categories can sometimes be confusing, so here's a quick breakdown for you!

CLEAR PRESCRIPTION LENSES

BASIC POLYCARBONATE (FREE)

Improves vision while resisting scratches and reducing glares. No warranty.

Available for prescriptions with a SPH value between -5.00 and +4.00*, AND a CYL value between -2.00 and +2.00.

PREMIUM ULTRA-THIN ($49.00)

A thin, lightweight lens that provides the best vision experience. 1 year warranty.

Recommended for prescriptions with a SPH value greater than or equal to +3.00, OR a CYL value that equals -2.00 or +2.00.

Required for prescriptions with a SPH value greater than +4.00 or less than or equal to -5.00, OR a CYL value less than -2.00 or greater than +2.00*.

Note: Prescriptions outside this range may require a high prescription fee ($39.00). Someone from our team will notify you if this is the case!

PRESCRIPTION BLUE-LIGHT LENSES ($69.00)

Blue light blocking lenses, perfect for kids computer glasses. Includes 1 year warranty.

Available for prescriptions within SPH value of -6.00 through +4.00 and / or CYL values within -2.00. Prescriptions outside this range may require an additional $39 custom lens fee.

HIGHER CLARITY TRIVEX ($99.00)

Combines durability, lightweight comfort, and optical clarity. 1 year warranty.

Available for prescriptions with a SPH value less than -6.00 and +3.00, AND a CYL value between -2.00 through +2.00*.

*Does your prescription fall outside these ranges? You’ll be required to upgrade to our Premium Ultra-Thin lenses!

SUN PROTECTION LENSES

POLARIZED PRESCRIPTION SUNGLASS LENSES ($109.00)

Lenses that are always tinted and always beach-ready. 1 year warranty.

Available for prescriptions with a SPH value between -6.00 and +4.00*, AND a CYL value between -2.00 and +2.00*.

*Does your prescription fall outside these ranges? The Premium Ultra Light lens ($49.00) is also required, which someone from our team will send your way!

LIGHT ADJUSTING LENSES ($149.00)

Lenses that are clear indoors and tinted outdoors. 1 year warranty.

Available for prescriptions with a SPH value between -6.00 and +4.00*, AND a CYL value between -2.00 and +2.00*.

*Does your prescription fall outside these ranges? You may be required to pay a high prescription fee ($39.00), which someone from our team will send your way!

FRAMES ONLY (NON-PRESCRIPTION)

FRAMES ONLY (FREE)

Lenses with our logo etched on them; best if filled by your local eye doctor. No warranty.

If you're just looking to try on a specific color of our frames that is not included in a home try-on kit (and return them within 30 days in unworn condition for a full refund), this is the best way to go!

CLEAR LENSES (NON-RX) ($10.00)

Clear, scratch-resistant lenses for protection or style. Includes 1 year warranty.

BLUE LIGHT LENSES (NON-RX) ($15.00)

Blue light blocking lenses, perfect for kids computer glasses. Includes 1 year warranty.
